Salomon Running Academy 2016
The Salomon Running Academy started life in 2015 as a novel concept – the aim wasn’t and isn’t simply to recruit and nurture new talent; there’s a bigger purpose: to bring together two generations of runners and to build lasting relationships, so that the original spirit of the sport gets passed on and thrives.
The Salomon Running Academy 2016 is set for May 25-29 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany with attendees promised: ‘boundless energy, wild descents and a fair amount of goofing around with the “vets”, on and off the trails. Plus product development workshops and plenty of in-depth advice on how to manage their sport, both physically and mentally, from athletes who’ve been there and learnt from experience.’
Amongst those ‘vets’ taking part are Max King, Anna Frost and Jonathan Wyatt, with the latter commenting: ‘I want to give something back to the sport that I love, by actively helping the next generation.’
Runners aged between 16 and 20 are invited to apply for the Salomon Running Academy before April 10, with a shortlist being drawn up on April 20. Full details and online entry at runningacademy.salomon.com
