Nepal International Marathon

Nepal International MarathonNepal International Marathon – November 21-27, 2016

The Nepal International Marathon, new for 2016, is billed as a ‘community race’; you’ll be running with others and, crucially, for others – with a firm focus on charitable giving.

The ‘mission’ of the Nepal International Marathon organisers (Impact Marathon Series) is too far reaching to do justice to here; but trust us when we say that this is a company determined to make a global difference by addressing local issues – full details, of course, on the event website.

To the main event: details are still a little sketchy as final preparations are made but organisers say that you’ll be running at around 2,300m of altitude (enough to literally take your breath away) and that the race will be ‘108% awesome’. Nepal is a pretty long way to go to run anything less than 26.2miles but there are also 10k and half-marathon distances on offer.

Prices vary – really depending to an extent on what level of pampering you’re looking for – from £495 to £795 including six nights accommodation, all food, travel within Nepal, race entry and various other activities (including volunteering) during your stay. Full details – such as they are at time of writing – on the Nepal International Marathon at nepalmarathon.co.uk
