World Record JOGLE Attempt

JOGLEJOGLE, as the 800+ miles of run between John O’Groats and Land’s End is colloquially known, is on plenty of ultra runner’s bucket list. In 2016 Brandon Hall and Mark Gillespie, friends and colleagues at a Herefordshire School, plan not only to run this epic route, but to attempt to smash the current record of 9days, 2hours and 26minutes. The record, set by Andrew Rivett, has stood since 2002 and to break it Hall and Gillespie will need to run close to 100-miles-per-day when they set off next Easter.

The aim of their JOGLE challenge – which they have christened ‘Are We There Yet?’ (AWTY) – is to raise awareness and much needed funds for Parkinson’s UK. RunningMonkey will be tracking their training and progress, with a full interview on site soon.

In the mean time find out more about their JOGLE ambitions at awtyrun.co.uk or follow them on Twitter @AwtyRun
