Trionium Greensand Marathon

Trionium Greensand MarathonTrionium Greensand Marathon – October 11, 2015

The Trionium Greensand Marathon, which also includes a half marathon distance, is regularly voted one of the UK’s finest races. It’s easy to see why – so long as you like hills. LOTS of hills. With something like a vertical mile of climb there’s barely a flat section to be found… From the Nower in Dorking via Westcott and Wolvens Lane to the Plough at Coldharbour and then to the top of South East England’s highest point, Leith Hill – before following the Greensand Way, taking in the summits of Somerset Hill, Holmbury Hill, Pitch Hill, Reyards Hill and Winterfold Hill. Then back!

The strictly enforced time limit to Leith Hill Tower for the first time (at the quarter way point, 6.55 miles) in 73 minute makes for a lung-busting start and there’s still almost 20miles to go. Yes, it’s tough, but it’s well worth the effort to brag that you’ve conquered the mighty Trionium Greensand Marathon

Race entry to the Trionium Greensand Marathon £43.00 affiliated, £45.00 unaffiliated – full details and entry at
