The Great British Beerathon

BeerathonThe Great British Beerathon – August 1, 2015

Organised by the fantastic Beer Belly Running the Great British Beerathon takes place on August 1 at the Hoop and Grapes in Farringdon, London. The Beerathon consists of five one-mile laps around the City of London with each lap finishing in the Hoop and Grapes where competitors pick up their ‘Slobstacles’ before heading out through the beer garden to continue the course. The Slobstacles after each lap are: 1 – Bitter and a Scotch Egg, 2 – Lager and a Cornish Pasty, 3 – Cider and a Porkpie, and finally 4 – Guinness and Crumble.

Not for the feint-hearted or those chasing a PB, but the Beerathon is every bit as ridiculous and fun (?) as it sounds. Entry is effectively free but the conditions are that after registering all competitors donate £35 to the Street Child charity.
