Ultra12 – July 18/19, 2015
The Ultra12 offers up four ultras in one package with a choice of 50k, 50miles, 12hour solo or 12hour team effort – all in one stunning lakeside venue at Beale Park, Pangbourne. You do not have to be super competitive or super fit to take part, those quite new to running or casual runners who are just looking for a fun weekend with a group of friends are more than welcome, say the organisers.
The races start at 7.00pm, it will be light until around 10.00pm allowing time to familiarise yourself with the route before nightfall. Head torches must be worn at all times during the night (it will be light again around 4.30am) with the race finishing at 7.00am the next day. The route is flat but very varied and mixed terrain, around 30% tarmac roads and 70% tracks and trails with a 5mile loop that must be completed 6.2-times for the 50k, 10-times for the 50miler and as many times as possible for the 12hour solo or team event.
Entry is £35 per person for all events at the Ultra12 and free camping is available. Full details and online entry at ultra12.com
