Baxters Loch Ness MarathonBaxters Loch Ness Marathon – September 28, 2014

Loch Ness is one of the best-known destinations in the world. Its beautiful scenery and the centuries-old mystery of the Loch Ness monster have attracted visitors from around the world for years and the Baxters Loch Ness Marathon has an unrivalled reputation for both atmosphere and beauty.

Part of the wider Festival of Running the Baxters Loch Ness Marathon begins in an atmospheric location and continues through breathtaking scenery, taking you along the south-eastern shores of Loch Ness, across the River Ness, and into the centre of Inverness, capital city of the Highlands. All marathon runners are transported by bus to the start and, once on course, will be kept hydrated and powered by a dozen feed/water stations offering a mixture of Clif Bar products and water (Highland Spring, naturally.)

At the finish line everyone can expect a medal, t-shirt and goodie bag, along with complimentary post-race food, which includes Baxters soup. Showers and changing facilities are available and massage is also on offer for a small donation to charity.

The entry fee for the Baxters Loch Ness Marathon is £48 with full details and online entry at lochnessmarathon.com
