Meadow Mayhem

Meadow MayhemMeadow Mayhem – April 27, 2014

Okay, not perhaps the lung-busting ultra or stamina-sapping adventure race we might usually feature on RunningMonkey, but the sheer joy of this appealed to us…

Six students at the University of Chichester are hosting a charity fun run with an aim to raise £5000 for Bognor Regis based charity 4Sight. Taking place on April 27, at the University of Chichester Bishop Otter Campus (map here) the Meadow Mayhem describes itself as ‘a fun run with a difference’; with the use of giant inflatables and obstacles across the 2km course, it draws inspiration from TV shows such as It’s a Knock Out. Participants can run the course multiple times, competing to improve their times, with prizes awarded at a grand closing ceremony at the end of the day; bonus prizes will be awarded for those who raise the most amount of sponsorship for the charity and those in the best fancy dress.

The cost of entry for the Meadow Mayhem is £12 (£8 for students) and all participants are encouraged to raise a minimum of £10 in sponsorship donations prior to taking part in the event. Full details at meadowmayhem.co.uk and, just for fun, take a look at Spider-Man (yes, technically Black Spider-Man) limbering up for the Meadow Mayhem…
