Ras Dewi Sant Coastal Marathon

Ras Dewi Sant Coastal Path Marathon Ras Dewi Sant Coastal Marathon – March 1, 2014

Celebrate Saint David’s Day in style with an incredible coastal path marathon which offers up some of the finest scenery in the UK. This is the second running of the Ras Dewi Sant and action starts at 8.30am on Abereiddy beach, Pembrokeshire, and heads north up onto the coast path and past the spectacular blue lagoon (site of the 2012 and 2013 Red Bull world cliff diving championship.) Due to the potentially wild and windy conditions there is a mandatory carry list that includes foil blanket, phone and whistle but navigation is relatively straight forward and there is a generous cut-off of eight hours, 30minutes. All Competitors will receive a T-shirt, commemorative Medal and a bowl of hot ‘Cawl’ (a Welsh soup/stew) plus hot drinks at the finish. Entry costs £38 for the marathon with a half-marathon option at £22 – full details and online entry at man-upuk.com
