Brighton – Falmer LONGMAN Trail Runs
The Brighton – Falmer LONGMAN Trail Runs have been designed not only as beautiful and challenging stand-alone events, but also to work as ideal training runs for your already planned seasonal goals and as a precursor to the LONGMAN ‘proper’ which takes place in September as either a run or bike of 35, 65 or 100miles along the South Downs.
The trail runs on offer in February are 10k, 18.8mile and 28.5mile – the shortest is ideal to help you peak two weeks before the Brighton Half, whilst the mid-distance is a good strength builder for those aiming for the Brighton or London Marathons (eight and 10 weeks off respectively), and the 28.5-miler is simply an excellent ultra season-opener or for those with a 100-epic in mind for later 2014.
Entrants will enjoy chip timing, good ‘real food’ (both during and after), the promise of a laid back communal vibe, and warming Après – The Hot Recovery Drink from the event’s main sponsor. Also on offer is pre-race coffee, bag drop, post-run massages, goodie bags, finishers medals & prizes are all available on the day. 10k entry is £19, the 18.5mile £29, and the 28.8mile £39 – further details and online entry for the Brighton – Falmer LONGMAN Trail Runs at longmanultra.com
