Jurassic Coast Challenge

Jurassic Coast ChallengeJurassic Coast Challenge – March 21-23, 2014

Three marathons in three days along the stunning Jurassic Coast. This is an incredible and well-established event that, whilst truly tough, should be within the ability of any runner who puts their mind to it. Day 1 takes runners from Charmouth to Portland Ferry Road, Day 2 heads on to a spectacular finish past Durdle Door to the beautiful Lulworth Cove and Day 3 completes the epic with a run to Shell Bay, Studland. The terrain is coastal path with a mix of trail and some sand (and a deeply horrible stretch of pebble along Chesil Beach) and there are some chewy climbs and sweeping descents, but there’s barely a moment passes when the views don’t make up for all the hard work.

The Jurassic Coast Challenge is easily one of the most enjoyable ultras that RunningMonkey has ever tackled and the hospitality and professionalism of the VOTwo team who organise it can’t be praised highly enough. There are numerous meal and accommodation options available to help you get the most out of the camaraderie that you’ll find on offer here, but the base price is £60 for a single day or £160 for the full three days. Do it, you know you want to…
